Terminator 4 is set in 2018, when most of the human race has been wiped out by Skynet in a nuclear holocaust. Christian Bale plays John Connor, who leads a band of remaining humans in resistance against Skynet to try and keep it from destroying mankind completely. Connor meets a man named Marcus Wright, who may be from the past or the future, and together Wright and John Connor lead a mission that takes them into the inner workings of Skynet.
